Obviously names shouldn't be posted here, but the story was broken on Twitter hours before it made the press, I would guess by someone who lives near the players property. Or leaked by a police employee.

Somehow he can move to another country and play for a club. Elsewhere I have read he was last on a 3 month bail in starting January.

I heard the situation with a PL player from last year was that they met an underage girl, who they believed was overage and that the player then found out and actually went to the police himself.

That player probably didn't behave very well and will justifiably face lots of criticism. But if the above is true they may not have ended up in as much trouble as they might have if it happened in a different set of circumstances.

I dont see that both those concepts cant co-exist. They are separate factors. You could be concerned for the woman’s wellfair whilst at the sametime hope it isnt a Palace representative.
