Yeah, by a section of our fanbase. He’s great, and probably Palace’s greatest ever player all things considered, but not destined for Real Madrid or Barcelona like some of our fans appear to think. Maybe if he was 4 years younger, but a 26 year old of his ability (very good, but nowhere near world class) is unlikely to ever be good enough for THAT level.

Thatís fair but in my 39 years of suffering heís our greatest player imo.

Richarlison is a very good player but also a replicable one.

There is no way Richarlison could singlehandedly destroy a team or keep a relegation level team in the division.

Wilf can do that, does do that and has done that. The only players currently better at doing what he does are Hazard, Messi, Salah and Sane (the one at L'pool). Ronaldo is not that player anymore and Messi is a different level altogether but requires players around him.

I expect Wilf's goalscoring to move up a level next season whoever he plays for.

Agreed.
Never see. Richarlison turn a game on its head.

I feel it wonít be the same watching Palace without Wilf. However depressing we are, there is always hope with him on the pitch.

I don’t remember Wilf ever carrying us in the premier league until he turned 25. Richarlison is only 22, which is pretty much the exact age when skilful wingers usually start to accelerate in their development.

Also, Wilf is only carrying a lower mid table club. There are dozens of wingers throughout Europe good enough to do the same imo. Even Richarlison could, although to a lesser degree as I think Wilf is slightly better at the moment. Everton are heavily reliant on him a lot of the time, but nowhere near to the same extent as they have far more attacking and creative weapons than Palace, and are generally a better team.

Zaha is clearly better at the moment as the stats show from last season, i can only think that they have factored in the age/future potential etc.

Either way unless Everton are desperate for money/or player is agitating for a move - they can give what ever value they want, just like we can

Richarlison only plays well when the sun shines and its warm.

Didn't Ronaldo score a hat trick the other day for Portugal ?
Just being picky but I think he still very much can turn a game single handedly.
