Yup no trains between Brighton and Three Bridges all half term. Think I’ll stay in sunny Stamford!

They're a cheery bunch, aren't they?!

"Definitely give them as few tickets as poss, and ideally on a lower tear so we can gob on them through the game - memories of League Cup game in 2003 when a bunch of aging "sarf Landan" wannabe pretty boy gangster coke heads did that to us throughout the game. Cops eventually sorted them out, but the place is more Crystal Meth than Crystal Palace. They're a health hazard, I'm not sure the stench of more than 2,000 of the scumbags would get carried away on the wind quickly enough".

Talk on their forum is they would like us to have their ‘North Stand’ which holds 3000. Their crowd capacity has also been reduced and is now circ 14k and not the 15k shown.

So how would Palace have been in the tier (or "tear" as they spell it Oop North) above them at Selhurst Park then?

That is definitely a troll as I'm sure he would know the Keepmoat Stadium only has one tier and as stated above his scenario of having a lower tier at our place couldn't have happened unless we gave them the LH but you know what those gallery fans are like!

Would have been the Sept 2003 League cup game at Selhurst, they had the Whitehorse, presumably the boxes above them would have been about 300 quid for 10 people

I won't be able to go if it gets moved to the Sunday. As such, I demand the two teams, the FA, the train companies and maybe Greggs (so I can get a sausage roll) discuss my timetable and find a suitable solution.

Interesting to read their comments about Palace. Reminds of the last time we were there. Their chairman gave them all free tickets but we still had to pay. We had the whole of the Away (North) end and the far end of their East stand nearest that too.

This is the most sensible comment on their thread...
"I think the North Stand holds 3000, so that will be their initial allocation?

Given that the capacity is no longer 15,000'ish, we'll be looking at 'say' 14,200'ish available tickets, less 3000 allowance for Palace, leaving 11,200'ish for home supporters.

We sold round about 7,000'ish home tickets for the Oldham game, but that was at a 'normal' kick off time and not televised. Somehow, to fill the stadium, we are going to have to find 4,000'ish more supporters for the Palace game, with the likelihood that this gamewill be televised and won't be at 3pm on the Saturday."

There is 0 chance of this being on Saturday 3pm - as has previously been mentioned Rotherham v. Sheffield Wednesday is taking place at 1pm and there is less than 20 miles between the two grounds. From a policing point of view:

Friday Night at 8pm - No issue with that
Saturday Lunch at 12:30pm - Absolutely no chance due to the above
Saturday "Normal" at 3pm - Absolutely no chance due to the above
Saturday Evening at 5:30pm - Outside chance but, it would only give South Yorkshire Police 2 hours 45 minutes to get 12,000 fans out of New York Stadium onto Public Transport etc. finish off at the ground, get to Donny before the game
Saturday Night at 7:45pm - No issue with that
Sunday Afternoon at 4pm - No issue with that
Sunday Night at 6pm - No issue with that
Monday Night at 7:45pm - No issue with that
