Ince

When I heard we had signed Ince I got a bit excited. A technically gifted, goal scoring winger most teams in the Premiership were being linked with.

Apart from some flashes in his first game, I don't think we have seen the best of him. I only hope he becomes more effective in the remaining games because so far he looks OK but nothing special. On the basis that he is a free agent in the summer and thus on the radar of other clubs, I assume he is playing to impress to get the move he wants, but is it working for him.

He's done next to nothing so far but scored a goal with a crisp finish.

Has anyone else noticed that he doesn't take part in some of the warm-ups?

West Brom and Man U, he came out 30 secs after everyone else and ran straight to the centre circle when everyone else went and done the shuttle run on the touchline.
Swansea, he was subbed.
Saturday, he didn't come out at half time to do a warm up.

He looks very light weight. Almost like an early Scannell clone minus the hair!

Massively overated.Gayle would be a far better option and to think we loaned out williams and loaned in ince is depressing.

Scannell had far more pace than ince at his age.

I agree with above., been a huge dissapointed so far

He got some talent but he isnt ready for the premiership, physically isnt up to it and he doesnt seem to have the burst of speed to beat his man on the wing.

I think the only option is to play him for the last 30 minutes when the game has opened up a bit or play him behind murray if chamakh is out, he does have quality on the ball and works hard.

I actually think Bannan looked a far better player though.

He did come out at HT just later than the rest - Thomas didn't come out either

Ludicrous. We have had four games and scored a goal that nobody else in the squad would have put away. He is a young lad that needs time to get used to the premiership. I don't think Murray has done badly since he's come in but Ince certainly hasn't done worse.

Maybe he is recieving some extra physio/treatment in the dressing room during that time? Or the manager wanted him in on the team talk?

Who knows? Certainly none of us

They're completely different players, don't know how you can compare them.

Beginning to understand why, despite him being linked with many clubs, he's still on Blackpool's books. Lightweight and living on a reputation built on a) his dad and b) a few excellent goals for his home club.
Nowhere near the finished product and best left well alone.

Not really, both play on the wing, neither cant beat their man but are comfortable on the ball, suprisingly they actually play in quite a simular way.

Ince will adapt to premiership football in 6 months or so but thats no good to us now.

Hes one of the best young players in the country. Not going into the politics of loan etcs and how he might prevent our own younsters playing but sorry guys hes far far better than Gayle, Williams and Scanell.

He isn't strong enough for the wing, needs to play behind the main striker where his pace and finishing cause problems. That said Gayle has the same attributes.

On Saturday Ince and Thomas came out late, obviously part of a pre planned substitution later. Nothing to see here.

FFS. Outstanding against West Brom with the best finish from open play that anyone has made in our team this season. Yes he has struggled since but so has three quarters of our squad. Would like him, Bolassie, Chamakh and Murray starting together as a front four. Feel it would give us so much more threat and quality offensively.
