Essential cog in our wheel. However, think Ledley can be just as good, played KGs role well when he went off injured.

Not that you want one of your players to get injured but we look much better with Chamakh behind another striker, with Jedi alongside Ledley. KG gave the ball away three or four times before his injury - it did us a favour.

Injury could've led him to giving ball away so often?.
Thought Ledley was outstanding yest.

Exactly, the side looks a lot more balanced like that as there's more attacking threat. I was and still am not a fan of the Jedi-KG-Ledley midfield combo but the results against Chelsea and Cardiff proved that it can work providing Puncheon and Bolasie put in a shift.

For me the option should be KG or Ledley and of the two Ledley looks like the better player. I would offer KG a contract though.

agreed with every word, until the last sentence. I'd like to get KG off the wage bill, and give Williams and even Boateng/Sow a chance to get more game time if for any reason Ledley or Jedinak picked up an injury.

IF we stay up we don't need too many changes this summer but we certainly can, and Pulis probably will, get a far more consistent midfielder than KG.

No need to get rid of him, he's put in a good shift over the past few years (and at times far more than that - was brilliant against Cardiff last week) but agree with those that say we looked much better with the midfield that finished against Villa.

Still a decent option to have around but to say he's in any way superior to Jedi is madness. MJ is criminally under-rated by some on here; at times a poor passer (bar his Hollywood-dink onto the foot of Murray last season against someone) but one of the most effective in his role across the league this season.

I think we need a whole load of changes, but mostly to those who are not playing week in week out. We bought a lot of average players and need to shift some of them and get in some real class.

KG is the player I'd be least sad about being replaced in the summer to be honest. He has as many bad games as good and only very rarely does he stand out. Squad player for me going forward I hope.

Harsh as he suffers from being the second best defensive midfielder at the club, we are lucky to have Jedi.
Not that we need two highly defensive midfielders in the team.
If he does go, I would thank him for what he has done and wish him all the best.

Presumably he's not on big wages currently, so very decent squad player if he's happy with that role. We need cover, what happens if Ledley and/or Jedinak were injured?! Only replace if there's somebody coming in who is a genuine upgrade. Given that such an upgrade will come at a cost then we need to be very confident that it will work in the long-term.

Absolutely, Jedi is a beast. He runs more, tackles more and heads more than virtually any other central midfielder in the Premiership. Play him alongside someone who can the pass the ball and is more creative and you have a great central midfield partnership.

I would let KG go along with Garvan and Guedioura (who Pulis obviously doesn't rate) and bring in a quality central midfielder to compete with Jedi and Ledley.

Can't remember the last time KG had a very good game in the PL, it's either an average or a complete shit performance. Not good enough sadly

Yeah those six minutes were a real indicator of the game as a whole

KG, never dropped and yet some don't see just how important he is to what we do.

He was a monster in the Cardiff game.

Against Villa we needed to set up more attacking IMO, so I was pleased Chamack came on, but he clearly wasn't fully match fit.

Perhaps you should try going to a few matches then?

I like KG and do defend on here but hes so frustrating how inconsistent he is. And his fitness is always a worry. I think long term Ledley will have his position.

I think a new centre back, left back, centre midfielder, winger and striker are required. KG has been decent for us and will always be thought of fondly but he is very limited and we now have Ledley to do the job more effectively.

I think that Williams could slot into the role that Chamakh took over on Saturday. He has much more of an engine and would be willing to sit that bit deeper than Chamakh (who, in fairness, worked hard and really tracked back well).

A trio of Jedi, Ledley and Williams could work nicely. Puncheon and Wilf on the wings. Chamakh/new striker up front and we are set.

I fear for Murray though. He need to be playing at this stage of his career and if we are going to push on and establish ourselves in this league, he may be surplus.

Long term would have to be Williams in that position, with Mile performing the defensive, anchor role and JW getting forward more.
