It's certainly long-winded but it's not punchy, is it? However, I wouldn't expect anything better from the Guardian these days.

Sorry it wasn't a newspaper headline, it was the title of a Guardian journalist's online report.

I wasn't appreciating the punchiness, just the message, which is spot on.

Always think these Cabinet reshuffles are where the PM is admitting that the Ministers he placed in charge 2 or 3 years ago are rubbish and need replacing without him ever agreeing that he got it wrong in the first place. Its like a Manager making a couple of subs before half time but never admits he selected the wrong team originally.

Any chance Johnson would recognise that he is the main problem and move aside?

The headline in the i was 'Johnson sacks blundering Cabinet allies'

Shame he couldn't sack himself.

That would require a level of self awareness that is probably beyond someone who never even realises that his hair needs combing

Cabinet ministers and Johnson are not the major issue, that is down to appalling standards held by the individuals who put these people into power.

I get all the Corbyn stuff but this is about morality in the first place and whether lies are so insignificant to British people.

Liz Truss and Gove et al can provide amusement but It must be essential that you can trust the head moron to tell the truth every now and again.

They've twigged that if you just ignore all the norms that say you should have resigned because of your actions there is very little anyone can do about it.

Zahawi, the minister for vaccines has had an interesting life and can't do any worse than Williamson, who now has 2 cabinet failures on his CV, I like to call it the Grayling scale..

Let's face it with the paucity of talent involved, yesterday was hardly the night of the long knives

We are becoming a nation of shoplifters instead of shopkeepers.
