Total deaths = 1,632

So, based on those numbers, anyone has the absolute right to be concerned/hesitant and not referred to as an 'anti vaxxer'
Your reliance on "total adverse reactions" to support your case is absurd unless you break down what those reactions actually are.

Doctors advised reporting even minor reactions to the vaccine on that website, as it is helpful information for the medical community to have, even if it is minor. That included side effects of a rash and a fever. Almost certainly the vast majority of reports will be for very minor side effects that the person recovered from in the space of a day or so. As a proportion, there are very few instances of people having serious side effects.

You get a side effect from almost every vaccine under the sun. The Covid vaccines are no different. Would you support someone refusing a vaccine because they might have a rash or a fever for a couple of days after? If so, that would be ridiculous and would prevent you even getting a flu vaccine (or almost any other vaccine adults often get).

You can't just look at those figures in the abstract and say it's too dangerous. The vast vast vast majority of reputable medics, scientists and doctors in the country have advised to get the vaccine in the majority of cases. But little SEEPEEFEECEE on the internet seems to know better based on, I would wager, vastly inferior knowledge or understanding.

Key take home is that even if you're over 65, as long as you're not clinically vulnerable the vaccine protection against hospitalisation remains around 95% for Pfizer and 80% for AZ after 5 months. Younger people the trend looks even better, particularly for AZ.
Important to note that these figures are for relative risk reduction. The figures for absolute risk reduction are somewhat less impressive. The best performer only gives 1.6% absolute risk reduction.

I had a sore arm for a day or so after my first vaccine, so presumably this would count as an "adverse reaction"?

Going from genuine flop to on the bone as the needle went it probably counts, too. It certainly counted when the Police were called.

Yes. It does if it was reported. Hence why the figures have to be understood in the relevant context.

Ah, yes. She claimed that people who recover from Covid-19 are ‘immune for life’ after 10 days.

You may want to tell that to the various BBS members who have had Covid more than once (as well as members of my family).

A 3 year-0ld could carry out better 'research' than you.

If you scratch an Ivermectin advocate, more often than not you find an anti-vaxxer.
I suppose the other thing to note here is well is that these are not unique reports/adverse events. There’s probably a million people all saying I felt a bit of nausea or a sore arm.

Quite - not these namby pamby ultra thin short things that purport to be needles nowadays. I remember when one had to stand at least two feet from the patient so as not to stab completely through their arm into the thoracic cavity and then use a whole bag of cotton wool to stem the blood flow from the puncture. Tell that to kids nowadays ……

I see Eric Clapton has released an 'anti-lockdown / vax' song following the adverse reaction he had earlier this year to his covid jabs.

The fact that he had been complaining about his health for the last couple of years, including nerve problems, might be the reason why.

Back playing the guitar so seemingly no lasting effects and better than catching covid.

2 down 2 to go.

My turn…

The quote attributed to Luc Montagnier that vaccines will kill people by causing anti body dependant enhancement, has been debunked. Firstly, there is absolutely no evidence to back up this claim, also there isn’t any evidence to suggest the laureate even made this comment. To view the link you have to Register or Login

3 down. Anyone else want to deal with Tess Lawrie?

Clapton conspiracy loon and long time racist.

Eric Clapton took a break from a performance in Birmingham to demand the repatriation of Britain’s immigrant and black population. ‘You should all just leave,’ he said to members of his audience. ‘Not just leave the hall, leave our country ... I don’t want you here, in the room or in my country. Listen to me, man. I think we should vote for Enoch Powell. Enoch’s our man ... We should send them all back.’
