I won't say that the Black kit is unlucky, more invisible. It can't be coincidence that the Yellow and White away kits are good for Palace because the players can see each other on the field. Most people wear dark colours in the winter so very often the black will not stand out against a background of thousands wearing dark colours.

To prove my point, there was that case 15/20 years ago when Utd went to Saints in a grey kit and had to change at half time because they couldn't see their team mates.

So keep the white and bright yellow away kits I say.

The Southampton v Manchester United game was in April, hardly the cold, dark winter months. It was just an excuse for them playing shit and losing.

Fwiw, I much prefer the white (or yellow) kit. The black is downright ugly and hasn't been 'trendy' for ages.

I do think dark kits make it harder to pick players out in night or winter games. And we do tend to be absolutely abysmal in Black kits. Wish Parish would stop with his obsession of them.

Presume the club would have arsked the players there veiw on matter would be interested what they think . Club might say dark kits have never held man city or Chelsea back and in rugby all blacks have done ok .

I doubt it.

The players asked Pulis in 13/14 to use the Yellow third kit as they didn't like / couldn't see one another in the "Evil Sash" kit.

Agree with other re visibility of the black kit. To be honest I sometimes find our home strip a bit tricky at night games, especially for players out wide but I'm not suggesting we ditch it.

I would make the white with sash our second strip and bin the black one (though I like it to wear as a fan).

But I have always loved the sash.

I read somewhere that a matrix accrues all sports was somehow out tigoether and they cane out as the most successful team of all time.

I do. Over a large sample of games played (black kit versus brighter kit), it would even prove to be the case.
