Wish someone would ask Roy about the fact we have only scored 21 goals in our last 20 home league games. This is a big issue and centre forwards are not purely to blame for this. Even more worrying that 5 of the 21 came against Bournemouth last day of 18/19 season.....

The Bournemouth fixture aside, since the beginning of last season we haven't scored 3 at home once in the league! Winning premier league games 1-0 is hard and is reliant on almost making zero mistakes, avoiding wonder goals, poor referring decisions and always leaves you vulnerable to the away teams last 5 minute charge, as we found out versus Wolves and also got away with versus Villa.

Indeed. Out of those goals, 0 goals were scored in the first 15 minutes...

Our earliest goal being 16th Minute, McArthur (cross shot) vs Burnley on 01/12/2018.

Including the above mentioned McArthur goal, we have only scored 2 other goals in the first 30 minutes at home since the start of last season. 8 of the 21 have been scored from minutes 75 onwards.

Extremely slow 1st half starters.

Really don't think this makes the difference at this level that myth/legend might grant it. If it does, we really do have the wrong players.

Think it is a case of preserving energy 1st half retain the ball as much as possible and keep it tight and stay in the game.

Then 2nd half gradually increase the tempo to our play where we try to win the game.

Seems to be a regular occurrence that we get stronger as the game goes on especially from around the 60 mins mark onwards and we start creating more chances from this point on.

Whilst im not sure about team talks etc the way that we set out our game plan and from all the training videos, press conferences, previous and current players, they all talk about Roys "methods" of repetition related to training. What happens on the training pitch is what Roy makes his judgement on rather than onfield performance.

With this in mind, our midfield 4-5 or whatever you want to call it probably are more focused on working out who is their opposite number, getting the shape right rather than thinking it's time to go and get the goal early.

Also Roy rarely leaves his seat in a game because as the above states, he trust the training process and almost relinquishes any responsibility of affecting a game during it. He was the same at England and that won't change.

Doesn't matter who we play, we allow teams to have the ball and come onto us, whatever happened to putting a visiting team under pressure from the off ?

Dyche had his players press high up against Norwich last week, 2 goals up inside 15 minutes and then saw the game out.

But usual stuff tomorrow, ride our luck and try to nick it, goodness' knows what happens if they score first.

Is Roy really using the squad to best effect ? Another frustrating afternoon ahead.

Some teams play better with 30-35% possession, we are one of them. How many times have we had the majority of possession and end up losing!

To compound matters when he does eventually return he takes quite a few matches to get match fit . I know lots love him here but if we could get a reasonable offer for him we should sell , he misses way too many matches .
