Maybe we should loan Wilf to a top team for a season and see how he does. Is he good enough for a top team or not?

So lose Wilf for the season but not have the huge funds we would need to try and fill the huge gaps in our squad he would leave. No thanks.

Supposedly they are still weighing up their options and haven't actually applied to the court of arbitration yet.

If he was going to a top 6 club club i really can't see him going back to the North west, for me its either a London team or maybe PSG who have the resources and cast off's to do a deal.

So on the Vomitometer which one would be least bad and obviously i'm still hoping somehow Parish will persuade him to stay and see out his career in the red and blue.

Arsenal - Vomitometer 10/10 - they took Kenny Sansom and Ian Wright both for a song, i'm not sure i could handle the complete set of crown jewels going up there, i might have to give up football. They almost get a point back for taking Eddie McGoldrick but not quite.

Spurs - 7/10 They took Peter Taylor and Chris Armstrong and though it would be stomach turning at least it would piss Arsenal off.

Chelsea - 6/10 They took Steve Kember but that was a long time ago, they have lent us some good players recently and probably have a better class of cast off to tempt us with. Batman particularly and Ruby who if he wasn't injured might have been a good make weight. Even with Bamford and Remy it was a nice try, i know many wouldn't like it but for me it would be them out of the London teams.

PSG 4/10- If he had to go an international giant like them would be the least stomach churning and they've got loads of cash so could probably afford to give us a hatful. Perhaps we can write in a return clause and a sell on % just in case he doesn't like Paris and starts pining for South London after he's seen a bit too much of the bench.

Other than Brighton we had a great end to the season so losing Tomkins and Sakho didn't have too much of an impact.

Yep, we did really well considering the loss of those two. At that point I thought 12th might be a bit beyond us. Kelly, Dann and Ward all did well.

Those three players are perfectly competent if unexciting premier league squad members for a mid table team. They probably have two more seasons in them in that role, less so maybe Dann than the other two. Players like these give us the chance to either develop Academy players like Woods, Tavares etc, or find some high quality young player from the lower leagues. They allow us to invest in other areas at the moment.

I said yesterday that I can see us getting bids for between £40-£50m

If that means we keep him, fine.

But we will (potentially) have a very demotivated player on our hands

kyle walker goes to man city for £45 million and wilf is judged by arsenal to be worth about the same price. World has gone mad.
