I know it's the Sun, but even if remotely true look at their positive promotion, rather than condemnation, of this sack of shit. I expect they handed him money for the story too. He comes complete with face tattoo, she seems genuine, can't see it going wrong at all




Strange though, the Sun really didn't like eastern Europeans coming here to get passports and neither did their readers. What changed their minds?

They surely passed this because of this cost of living inflationary issue, and the food export issue, which impacts us. Putin should've realised within a fortnight that the west wasn't going to let them win and it would lead to a huge defeat and his demise.

...yeah but it fits both narratives...pesky immigrants stealing our jobs...now they are here..see..they are stealing our men and breaking up homes, all the while of course "supporting Ukraine".... its nauseating, and insulting to ukrainians. What a newspaper..journalists must be so proud of their profession, appealing to the lowest common denominator.

I think fundamentally that's the true nature of war, that it perpetuates horror on everyone. It doesn't really make a difference what side you are on. The environment of war simply encouraged the worst in human behaviour. There's maybe some limits you can place on that, but that requires being politically strong enough to police your own side, which rarely ends up being tolerated by the public.

And it's not just the other side that is the problem with that. Look at the reaction to the idea upholding British troops accountable for crimes committed in The Troubles where potential crimes were committed against British Citizens by the British army.

Accountability for crimes in war is vitally important not just in terms of the enemies actions but our own.

Ukraine is fighting the war for the West or NATO and I think it is a case of destroying the Russian military in place and If not already,soon, the Russian military will be reduced to a capability that they won't be a ble to threaten countries like they have been doing for the last 50/60 years.I also expect that the west will continue sanctions after this is finished to prevent a rebuild of the Russian military for some time. In one respect this is making the USA the one true superpower which ones hopes is good.

Interesting Churchill wasn't too keen on war trials, and initially was for the summary execution of the Nazi high command. It was the Americans that convinced him.

Yesterday Newoz and I were at the Melbourne Victory game, one of my mates, brought an old friend along... a 40 year old Aussie who has been living in Moscow for the past 15 years and has his own business there, an English Language school. His view and what he told us was such an eye-opening view so so different to what we hear.

I honestly think it would pay people to listen to people who live in Russia. Most Russians don't think Putin is mad or a psychopath... lets's put it that way. The real message I got was Russia will not be backing down in any way shape or form over Ukraine. The expression used was "Like a Pit Bull with a chihuahua in its mouth"
