People underestimate teams that are dominating leagues. Young Boys, Slavia Prague, Olympiakos, Red Star. They are dominating the league because they are good, not because the whole of Europe is suddenly awful.

But there is a difference in class between the top sides from Switzerland, Czech Republic, Greece and Serbia, and those from Germany, Spain and England.

Not by much. Not if you are 20 points clear and winning every week. Olympiakos could genuinely compete for European spots in the Premier League. Give them the Premier League money on top of that and even more could be possible. If there is a league with a title race then the teams are usually weaker, but the 4 I mentioned have been totally dominant in the league, with the odd exception, for about 5 seasons now. The gap between the quality of the whole league is huge, Burnley or Newcastle would be way better than whoever is 17th in Greece but the top sides are much closer.

If Burnley or Newcastle beat Leicester or Milan, I’d consider it a pretty big surprise too.

Michael Appleton doing a grand job. Just had a look at his managerial career and remembered he was the guy that took over at Blackpool when we took Holloway from them. He only stayed there 2 months. Ended up at Blackburn and only lasted 2 months there as well.

Only one win this month. Sadly I think they will run out of steam

They have played since Jsn 26th at least 3 of the top 6 . Drawing most there was a defeat to Doncaster. Its what happens this month misding out on the EFL trophy maybe a blessjng in disguise. Will see.... Having lived near Lincoln and a grandson of one of my friends has signed youth team contract I keep an eye on them amongst others.
