What is this bizarre concern people have about us signing ex-players?

We've re-signed players before successfully, Wilf being a prime example. The players talked about were our best players, not just any old average Joe.

Bolasie may be like Zaha, that he needs to be at Palace to produce his form.

I would take him back if it was a loan or a cut price fee.

why would we want to sign a player over 30, with a bad injury sustained, on 80k a week struggling to hold down a place in a mid level championship team?

Like with AJ we got the best of Bolasie and a fantastic transfer fee on the way out

Oh and by the way he hardly left with grace...

FFS. Surely even we aren't as stupid and dewey-eyed about ex players. This one was great once but definitely not what we need right now.

If he's gone back and Everton are paying his wage, it may nudge them towards a loan for Tosun rather than holding out for a permanent. Those two are going to be between 120k and 150k per week they don't want on the wage bill.

Loved him when he was here

But anyone who thinks he’s currently what we need given the level of performances he’s currently producing, is bonkers

Yeah can't argue with any of that but IF we could get him for a fraction of what we sold him for and he took a pay cut I wouldn't be against it, he's the sort of player that fits at Palace.

Having said that I know a decent Everton ST holder that thinks that was the best bit of business Palace have ever done, 27 million wasn't it?

Said before but unless an ITK wants to tell me otherwise I doubt we are even looking at him given every 6 months when he was here it was the same wants to leave/angling for a new contract nonsense. Did some amazing things here but I get the feeling Parish slept well the night that deal with Everton got done.

He has lost some of his pace, power and physicality. And his game is all about pace, power and physicality.

He was also determined to get one big pay day, he got it. Is he really motivated like he was?

All in all I just don't see him being the player he once was. He was never a silky touch, intelligent passer, natural goalscorer type of player

We certainly need a wide man to cover Zaha and Townsend, I could see a loan being viable, but he is on a good whack and not sure Roy likes mavericks!

Ayew is cover on the wings. Bolasie is crocked and not Premier standard anymore.
What is this obsession with ex players that wanted to leave, I just don't get it.
