We are not a one man club and that stupid stat that we only win when Wilf is in the side is over.

Dortmund can **** off, selling Wilf would be the stupidest thing Palace could ever do. He’s priceless for us.

Unless Wilf decides he actually wants to go. In which case I suppose I’ll have a ‘second team’ (unless he moves to Chelsea - sorry Wilf, can’t do it).

But really, he’s the best player we’ve ever had (IMO) and we need to actually win something whilst he’s here otherwise what’s the point of it all.

Hard to believe it will only be one club in for him. Of the English clubs you'd think Liverpool were the most likely, as Spurs won't stump up the cash, Chelsea, City and Arsenal don't need him and Man U are unlikely to try again even though they would have to pay less.

I wouldn't be that surprised if Real came in for him though, as he has the sorts of skills their club like.

He hasn’t been in form the last few months unlike Townsend who is our best player at the moment. Zaha had his best season last year, he won us points. This season he started well but has faded abit. Hopefully that changes.

I would take £60m for him though. Even though he has been in the side, he hasnt been crucial to some of the wins this year.

And before some other positive-minded person chips in saying we will squander the money or fritter it on the new stand, I don't subscribe to that negativity either.
Can't see it and I have zero faith in Freedman and co to spend the money wisely. Our recent transfer business has been very poor - not sure why we would have confidence that they could utilise 40-50m effectively. we couldn't buy a player close to Wilf's quality.

Because Hodgson has been playing him out of position as a central striker with his back to goal. In recent games he's moved back to the left and looks better for it.

Right backs are replaceable, someone like Wilf for a club like ours isn't.

100%. Even Cafu or Zanetti wouldn’t have the same impact here as Wilf, because at the end of the day, they’re right backs.

I thought there was a significant sell-on fee to man u, seem to remember that being reported when we resigned him, so what we'd actually see and have for reinvestment would be way less.

This is all assuming he'd want to move to Germany.

Didn't see him in the 'Wayne post-Grimsby' match restaurant picture .

Or a bit of an insult to Wilf to suggest he's not worth at least three extra points, without which we would be in the relegation zone.

Its completely devoid of context though as if he goes the club will at least try to replace him with someone. Now im not saying given our track record it would work out, but its not like its the same team just missing a key player. The fee could make us or it could break us.

When Ian Wright left you may have thought the same with about 6 internationals in our team but as sure as night follows day we hit the slippery slope and went from 3rd in the top flight to relegated in two seasons.

Ian Wright was more important to the team than Zaha. Wright was a goalscorer something we havent had in the Premier League since AJ.

It's time for Zaha (him personally) to leave, no doubt.
It's not a good time for us as a club though.

Whatever happens I just hope the money goes to areas that need investment.
Quality players that can retain the ball and pass.
