Am resigned to him going in the summer, surely he's ambitious and wants to win trophies? Not the old 17th to 11th toil

He gets pay parity or improvement at a big club and we get a fat fee..

If we sell him now, we are down. I appreciate he will go at some point and he deserves better but it has to be during a summer.

I wouldn't trust us to invest any of the money we would get wisely, if at all.

He wouldn't double his bubble anywehre. He is on £125k a week. Arsenal only have Ozil, Aubameyang and Lacazette on more money with Champions League pedigree. Liverpool only have Van Dyke, Firmino and Salah on more money.

He probably won't earn much more if anything moving anywhere.

Zaha must be frustrated that we have an 'almost' team. It can play well and compete - up to a point. The team lacks 2 players of quality ( striker / real goalscorer being one of them ) to go on and do really well in my opinion, possibly even win something.

However, what about this deal is attractive to anyone? Quoted fee, in the current market, is an insult. ( They want Zaha to replace someone they sold for more ? ! ? ). Zaha will also have better offers, if he wants to move.

Of course, we all love him and know what a great player he is, but Mickey Gray on Talksport was making some very valuable points that were hard to argue against (certainly for a neutral). He's never had a season with over 10 goals or 10 assists apparently. Said he would bite their hands off for 44 million.

9 goals last season, 9 assists the year before. 2 years ago under Pardew and Alardyce was his most productive when he was involved in 16 goals. He was able to score 7 but also had plenty of assists when Benteke was knocking them in.

Stats donít always do Wilf justice. I donít know if there is a better player in the premier league at getting the ball from the edge of our box to the edge of the oppositions box. That has a lot of value.

Can you image what we would do with 50-60 million quid? Buy Sorloth, Mutch and a few others, pay then top dollar and then release them from their contact after realising they are league one standard.

If opponents put 2 or 3 people marking him as in the 'stop Zaha stop Palace' tactic, then that makes life very hard for him but has to make it a little easier for our other players to play. As such stats useful to a point.

That said, he's 26 now...it feels like he's been on the verge of world class for a few years now but the end product is still a little illusive. However, he's playing for a bottom half team, he's hardly going to score 40 goals and get 25 assists for us.

What we need is someone else in the team for opponents to really worry about (similar to when Bolasie was in his prime on the other wing), then it'll open up for Zaha a bit more I think.

Does it? We're 3 points off the relegation zone. Think I saw someone say that Wilf loses the ball more than any other player in our team. He's a great player with fantastic ability, but maybe his head is not at Palace anymore, and that's no good for anyone.

Would much rather he go to a foreign team and I can see why clubs would think 50m + is too much.

Wilf is hitting his prime and worth £50m+. Anywhere but spurs and he'll get a big payrise.

Would rather him go Dortmund than any other UK club. Eventually you would expect him to go. Just hope we get the right price for him, which is probably £65m+ to us in the current market. Stats and numbers don't make a player as much as the media would love to make out, they just provide an easy analysis for pundits to pass judgement with very little knowledge. I would love to see Hazards stats in a bottom 10 team having 3-4 men round him every game receiving the amount of kicks he does.

Would be very surprised if Wilf is here next season. I think he signed a new dal in the summer hoping we would push on this season but we haven’t. If he moves on you can’t blame him.

Agreed. Champions League football and a chance to play with top quality players and win the Bundesliga. Good luck

He would be mad not to leave. Stayed probably a season too long if you look at it from his perspective. And as a club we haven't pushed on. Which is why he stayed maybe that extra season in hope we may get more talent in and challenge higher up.

Not personally convinced that we will either spend that wisely or push on / maintain even our position if he does go. But that's my current jaundiced view at the moment of people, organisations, governments, leaders....
