The longer this continues the harder it will be for any supporter to feel any sympathy towards them. The club have done everything they could, even delaying renewals for them. They had the option to go to block B but chose not to.

For 99% of Palace fans whether Trevor Francis is in charge or Attilio Lombardo, you turn up because you love the club. I just cannot fathom why so many fans want to have this plastic organised support. It's so far from the ethos of a fanatic.

If we were reading this outpouring of grief from adult men in their 40's on a Manchester United site we would be laughing. People need to get a grip. It's not going to happen.

It's a fantastic idea but as the club pointed out, it's unworkable. There are far too many children and older supporters who simply cannot stand for the entire match. And the only alternative is to move them to seats with a worse view??? Why would anyone move under those circumstances.
I bet you’re great fun at parties.

1. The club didn’t do all they could and you know it. That’s a big part of this thread. They held back st’s, rumours went around, some starting from their box office.

2. Some Organisation is needed for atmosphere in today’s stadia. Ours doesn’t include clackers, club flags or song sheets.

3. You don’t know if it’s 100% unworkable.

Are you stubbornly frustrating and a killjoy bore in real life?

Lets hope SP makes the right decision.
Can we routinely finish in the top six then? Maybe the silence allows the players to concentrate on their performance instead of singing along with the HF.

It's not just the noise aspect - although I personally feel it's essential we don't lose that. It's also the way the HF group continued their noise in the face of setbacks.

Concede the first goal now and our fans are likely to clam up, much like any other team. But the Fanatics seldom even missed a beat when that happened and, as a result, the overall impression was of determined, relentless support.

That had to convey itself to the players, irrespective of the fact that we were regularly up against teams stronger than us and the ultimate result was beyond salvaging.

You know the money keeps Arsenal in the top 6.

We’re on the greasy pole from after about 7th down to relegation. Only one way to test a hypothesis. Everyone could get what they want in the championship. Acquaintances stay together and the HF get to the centre to... not grow no doubt.

Brilliant

Should add this to the Benteke thread, 101 reasons why he cant hit a barn door.

Great example DE. For me the club are 90% to blame for what has happened here, and the idea they did "everything they could" is way off the mark.

Do we even have a Supporters Liaison officer to deal with these sorts of issues, or is it all being left to Sharon Lacey? This is a massive owngoal for the club and is all of their own making for not listening to the fans and finding a solution.

Whoever leaked the info caused the problem. The clubs hands were tied then.
Surely the withholding of season tickets renewals had to go hand in hand with an official announcement. The plans had to be in place, clearly ready for execution, they were not. That has to lie firmly at the clubs door. Basically, this had to be sorted and communicated before the renewal dates.

Hands are never tied. It depends on what you’re willing to do or not.

We know you’re a stubborn dinosaur who’d rather see the whole thing go down the toilet but don’t make up rubbish like ‘the club did all they could’ or ‘the club’s hands were tied’ because it’s desperate garbage.

Out of interest, are we going to go through this debate again when people are moved while the stand is built? For starters, we know that the first few roles are going in the Whitehorse to accommodate a larger pitch. I seem to recall under Noades that the Gallery Seats were to be given up to Corporate/Directors.

Was there this fuss when the Away Fans were moved and the family sections created or additional disable seats created at the cost of existing season ticket holders.

Seems to me many fans have been displaced over time and will always be.

Being moved because the pitch is being enlarged, or because the away fans are being moved, or because the stand has been given to the away side for the game, is entirely different thing to being moved because another Palace fan fancies your seat

25k into 36k is a workable project with options.

Safe Standing will also provide options.

When we moved the Away fans we had 8k season ticket holders so again plenty of options.

25k into a 25k re-jig will not be easy will at the very least take a while to sort and arrange.

Which they couldn’t be bothered to attempt and made a right fook up of it instead. It is Palace ticketing and admin after all.

A lot of people seem to be blaming Parish for all this. I would expect it's the same people who regularly **** up the away ticket allocations. i.e. Parish said he would like it done, and then was told it was not possible.
