In a AQA PE A levels exam paper, there was apparently a question about our losing run under FDB. No joke

Imagine if he’d played Wan-Bissaka at right full back in the 3-5-2 formation he’d earmarked us to play, that could have been a game changer if he’d hit the ground running like he did under Roy.

I still shudder at his first competitive team selection against Huddersfield and the performance and result that followed. Having gone into the season both hopeful and excited, when the whistle went at the end of the game it was clear it was a massive mistake appointing him and I wanted him gone.

Better chance of playing Luca at full back.

Agreed. His argument is that pay should be based on popularity, or proportionate to commercial income, which sounds fair to me. In other words pay men and women of any sport equally on merit - as is more or less the case now, surely, for football at least?

In that last game against Burnley we played pretty well; I can't help but think he has at least a partially valid point when saying we were training well when he was sacked. Not to say Parish's decision was wrong, after all who knows how long it would've been before we started to turn things around and pick up points even then? It seems to me FDB isn't nearly pragmatic enough for the premier league in any case.

He did appear to rub people up the wrong way . The first 3 games were horrendous but surprisingly he got the sack after the 1-0 defeat at Burnley ( where we did play extremely well , missing sitters though and that awful back pass by Chungy ) The Premier League just seemed too quick / physical for the slow way he tried to get us to play .

Agreed.

Things that stick out about FDB:

1) We didn't have the players to play the way he wanted
2) The board expected him to find those players but coming from Ajax / Inter he expected a DOF to do that (hence the rushed appointment of Freedman)
3) He had no idea what to do with the players he ended up having to use

Really Parish's decision to appoint him without bringing in a DOF at the same time meant it was doomed from the start.

He actually introduced him to first team squad if you check pre season. It was the moaning clique that changed it. He seemed to be progressively turning things around performance wise. Who knows what would have happened if he had been supported instead of spending all our money on Sakho. Also remember he had no wilf for 3 games. And other injuries.

OK, that’s fair but the team selection and man management were awful.
