Yep you are right. I had completely forgotten they screwed over our football calendar as they suddenly realised it was going to be too hot. Makes no odds loads building it all collapsed through the heat and some died They have estimated 4000 according to the Guardian. Say its exaggerated and its only 1000 that's still 15 people dying for each game played. If it is true then 60 lives lost for every 90 minutes played. One for every minute and a half of football

oh and Funk B .... can't be arsed about your temperature info ... its not really the point, just distracts from the main event .... which is people dying in quite large numbers ... if you believe the death rate is fake well thats your problem ............

I was responding to the part about the games being crap because it will be too hot to do anything. Which in itself overlooks the fact they bid on it being a summer tourney with all the stadiums being air conditioned.

However yes you are right on the air on and the heat as they moved it. Still not going up watch it and will boycott all the sponsors. Maybe it will be just me, but I won’t have to wonder about how many people died and how they died, whilst watching a game.

If America goes to war with Iran then Qatar may not be able to hold it for security reasons.

We're sorry to let you know that kick off in the group C game between Nigeria and Spain has been delayed due to the large mushroom cloud which has affected visibility. Apparently FIFA are hoping to get proceedings underway in around half an hour, although this may be further delayed while they consider the request from the Spain team to play the match in hazmat suits. It looks like the disappointing attendances we have seen at this world cup so far will continue for this match, particularly since those fans who had made it to the stadium in good time for kick off have now been vaporised. Alan, how do you fancy the Nigerians' chances in this one? |

Total mess of a tournament so FIFA can line it’s pockets with some dirty money. Makes the big domestic leagues a farce, a right old stitch up and everyone is playing along
Weird

A couple of vibrant Czech Republic & Kosovo-type emerging teams in England's qualifying group and we may not have to boycott anyway.
