Was a very entertaining game of football last night, and Hamlet looked good going forward, but a bit suspectat the back.
Folkestones first goal was pure comedy it had to be said.

Great weekend for Dulwich, they won while Bognor and Whitehawk drew their games.
1. Dulwich Hamlet P.36 - 80 pts 2. Bognor Regis P.35 - 78 pts 3. Whitehawk P.35 - 75 pts Dulwich have 4 games left, 3 are at home including the big one - Whitehawk on April 14th. Also home to 8th placed Chipstead on 7th April, home to Faversham on 21st April and finishing away to second bottom Burgess Hill on 28th April. If Dulwich win all 4 games they will be champions if Bognor Regis fail to win all of their 5 games. Fingers crossed for their two tough away matches against play off contenders - 5th placed Worthing and 6th placed Maidstone. |

Went to the 3-0 win on Saturday. Nice game. Strange to see winning football.
Had no Idea they were doing this well. Saw them in December when they were 3rd, at a 1-1 draw to Crawley Down. |

Sat 21st April is the big one.
Palace at Reading. Dulwich at home to Faversham Town. I'll probably be there. |

Great, 21st of April for me, time to get out of my armchair and do a bit of glory hunting - whatever did happen to my DHFC thread?

I went to the 3-1 win over Faversham on Saturday. Good match. Looks like Dulwich might have to settle for the play offs unless Whitehawk now slip up. Mrs Hilairehair enjoyed her cheese burger.
P Teams P W D L F A GD Pts 1. Whitehawk 39 28 6 5 78 26 52 87 2. Dulwich Hamlet 39 26 8 5 73 25 48 86 3. Bognor Regis Town 39 25 10 4 101 36 65 85 4. Folkestone Invicta 40 23 7 10 82 53 29 76 Cheer up number 10!

With one match to play ...
Code:
1.Whitehawk 39 28 6 5 78 26 (52) 87 2.Dulwich Hamlet 39 26 8 5 73 25 (48) 86 3.Bognor Regis Town 39 25 10 4 101 36 (65) 85 4.Folkestone Invicta 40 23 7 10 82 53 (29) 76 5.Godalming Town 39 21 7 11 73 51 (22) 70 6.Maidstone United 39 20 7 12 66 46 (20) 67 Burgess Hill Town v Dulwich Hamlet Godalming Town v Eastbourne Town Maidstone United v Bognor Regis Town Whitehawk v Chipstead But a play-off against Maidstone United looks like a distinct possibility. Do they still attract a big support? You would have thought so as an ex-League club. If there was over 500 on Saturday with virtually no away fans, a play-off with Maidstone must get close to 1,000. I'm sure they'd bring a hell of a lot more fans than Godalming Town anyway. Anybody know anything about Folkstone Invicta, the other likely opponents in a semi-final? I know the Semi-Final is a one-off hosted by the higher-placed team but how does the final work? Is it hosted by the higher-placed team, the winners of 2nd v 5th regardless of who won or is it played at a neutral venue? I'm looking forward to it. Saturday's match was good. It's almost alien to me to watch a team you're supporting trail at half-time but feel utterly confident that they'll go all-out for attack in the second half and overwhelm an obviously inferior opponent. It's a lot less bloody stressful than watching Palace. |

So what does that mean? The highest placed finalists hosts the final or the winners of 2nd v 5th ?
PS: When are the dates of the play-off semis & final ? Last edited by ElwissAtMemphis; 24-04-2012 at 07:10 PM. |

Unlucky they just missed out.. |

Whitehawk had three points docked at the start of the season. They could've been promoted by now. For those who don't know, Whitehawk is in the arse end of Brighton and we're going to move into Withdean at one point.

Hopefully Dulwich hamlet can get automatic promotion, but I will go along to support them in the play offs
