Reality is he will end up signing for Bournemouth/Brighton/West Ham/Everton/Watford/Soton where he will score against us next season
Otherwise known as “business as usual”

Gayle scored a hat trick today. Now 21 for the season I believe.

His composure in front of goal fills me with envy. Ours have little to none in converting the most basic goal scoring opportunities.

Classic Palace type signing. Worth a go from what he’s done so far.

when you watch the you tube clips, you cant help but notice how much time he has on the ball along with some pretty poor defending. But same can be said for probably most top championship strikers i suppose.

I do notice it, but there are plenty of goals scored at this level which are the result of similar.

I started this thread in January: To view the link you have to Register or Login and subsequently tweeted SP demanding we sign him, so if it comes off I'm taking full credit and requesting 20% commission.

It has to be remembered that we did ok on the Dwight Gayle signing. You can never be too sure of the sums but we paid roughly £4.5m and sold him for roughly £10.8m. Even with commissions to Peterboro we did ok.
If Adams, or another Championship striker, is reasonable we should just about recoup our money. Like any player it is a gamble but if he is only Championship quality we can probably sell him back to a club desperately seeking promotion to the PL and willing to pay for a known goal scorer at that level. So it is not such a bad gamble for the club. |

Not seen a great deal of him but if you buy young players with potential to improve they should retain a reasonable re-sale value and not cost the earth in wages.
Would much prefer this and also loan a few established players with experience to compliment them. At the same time continue to improve the Academy to get it to Category 1 Status and maybe we can actually produce a Centre Forward of our own which would save us some money! |

Jusy pay £15m cash, instead of £20m plus Sorloth
