Ezri Konsa Signs for Villa
Crystal Palace are lining up a move for Brentford centre-half Ezri Konsa — in case he is put up for sale.
Eagles scout Dougie Freedman watched the star, 21, last week and is keen on a player who has been chased by Palace for some time. Konsa was fancied by Arsenal in the last window but a drop in form gave them second thoughts. But Palace are keeping an eye out as they want one extra defender, and could join in the bidding if the Bees are sensible. Ex-Charlton defender Konsa is valued at about £15million. His club may sell one of their assets this summer and he is waiting to see if it is his turn. And Bournemouth are nudging ahead of Palace in the chase for Stoke keeper Jack Butland, who will be a top Premier League target this summer. Cherries scout Mark Burchill watched Butland, 26, last week and is also tracking Manchester United’s Dean Henderson, 22, and Burnley’s Joe Hart, 31. Palace are keen on Butland but need one of their keepers to leave. Bournemouth are in the same position but may have the cash to risk bidding for him and then trading Asmir Begovic, 31, later. Funny how some suggestions on here pop up in the news. If true would be good though. Konsa, Adams & Butland

This is the one we should be all over.
South London boy, will develop significantly and only grow in value. And a very good footballer with his defensive ability. Could well be bollocks but I hope this ones true.

No, it's because we are light at the back when we have a a couple of injuries

15m for a back up centre half seems a large chunk of our transfer budget, but tactically i like it and surely Dann is off.

Can’t see why we wouldn’t cash in on him this summer? Picks up big injuries, big wages and will get a good fee

Do not know anything of Konsa but we definitely need a younger defender with a bit of pace ( Tomkins and Sakho are at an age now where games missed will increase due to injuries ) . Surprised how many games both managed this season , but am concerned that Sakho always seems to get injuries that keep him out for long time

Dunno I think it’ll be possible. Think it will be one out one in. Hennessey/Guaita out Butland in. Sakho out Konsa and a loan in. Sorloth and Benteke/Wickham out Adams in. The wages of Batshuayi, Puncheon, Souare and Sako will be gone.
The aim has to be reduce the wage budget and the age of the squad and bring in “potential” players. The big name players like Benteke and Batshuayi doesn’t seem to work for us |

Guiata is happy here by the seems of it and other areas of the squad are in need of urgent attention.

Mourpay and Watkins would be useful as well, but I prefer Adams. What's happened to Eze at QPR? He seems to have gone off the rumour radar.

This guy Konsa is just a smoke screen for our real target Maupay. £15m for an unknown CB playing in a struggling championship team? we can do far better. Cooper at Millwall supposedly available at £3m a much better squad option.

We missed our chance when he was at Reading.
