£7.5m for someone who has only played at league 1 level and has a year left on his contract. Football is mental.

In PFA team of the year for league one and one England under 20 cap. Apparently can play right or left back

Good player with potential to get better, can play both full back roles and the type of player we should be signing at the right price

I think 7.5M is a bit much if AWB is staying but maybe a bit light if he moves on.

He could cover both left and right side, even if AWB stays.

The article above is dated Jan 2018 and the Konsa article says Charlton's Konsa so must be from the same time span.

Correct me if I’m wrong but won’t Luton want to hold onto their best players for the tough season ahead in the championship ?

He’s got 1 year left on his contract which he might not renew . Luton might take the money .

Yes they will, but they just might need the money more for team strengthening.

Yeah I know, just wonder why this never materialised.

In which case Parish and Freedman will go nowhere near the £7.5 million that is being implied. £2 million with add-ons- the normal Champions League ones?- top whack and play silly buggers until someone else does go in with a realistic bid that Luton will accept.

Surely not? can they really be asking 7.5m for a player that has experience only at lower league football and is unknown to most and also with just ONE Year left on his contract left is plain crazy. I have seen Luton on tv a few times and have got to say i did not see Any one player stand out, and if he was supposedly good he would have stood out imo, also if we are selling AWB probably to Man Utd? then it has got to be bringing in a replacement capable of stepping up competently and Dalot as part of that deal for say 10/12m would be the way forward.
Something worth remembering is we also have the very capable Joel Ward on our books who often gets overlooked, when required comes in when asked and does an excellent job. |
