They should have stopped messing with the rules when the backpass law came in. Most changes since then smack of someone at FIFA justifying a salary, fixing things that weren't broken like kickoffs going forward and now goal-kicks not having to leave the area.
Remember the kick-in experiment they did in non-league? Sin bins next season... |

Yep. Here's another. Next season for penalty kicks the ball is dead as soon as a goalkeeper saves it. No rebounds to be allowed. What's that about?

I know Ronaldo isn’t particularly great at free kicks these days, but was surprised to read that that was first since vs Spain at the World Cup.

At least it didn't change the outcome in the end.

Could’ve been 4-0 though! Ronaldo really turned it on at the end.

Certainly a competitor for best all round goalscorer of all time. Messi and maybe some others more clinical with their feet, but he’s a phenomenal header too.

Yep and kids football. Get the logic and would be good if implemented properly but I can see it causing more problems if anything. If a coach or even a parent ends up reffing because ref availability I can see them sin binning the opposition star player for 10 minutes for no reason at all whilst keeping their own player on for a similar offence

For club and country. He apparently has the (presumably joint) worst free kick accuracy in Serie A. 0%.

Is that Sky’s lowest ever ranked presenter and pundit combo?

I think that is 35 club and country goals this season which is a poor return given in the previous 8 seasons he has scored 40 plus. 50 plus, 60 plus!

Think he has declined slightly, but Juve are also less of a mercurial attacking side than Real Madrid.
