I can't argue with that logic.

Yeah, but that and the fact that they’re cloggers are the only things to dislike. Bournemouth also tick those boxes, as well as being FFP cheats and having a wanker manager. Also think they’re a more realistic relegation candidate than Watford.

We probably know which Three teams we would like to see get Downed, but realistically it wont happen. So who do i see going down?
(1) Sheffield Utd...are certs as they are making the classic error of signing championship players and basically planning for a quick return. (2) Norwich...a good young improving team but will need some good experienced premiership players added like Milner, Cahill and Welbeck to give their exciting young players the guidance and balance needed at this level when first promoted. (3) This is the tricky one to predict as many could get drawn into the trap including Palace if we dont strengthen, but i dont think we will. So the team i go for is..... Newcastle, who have flirted with it for the past few seasons yet fail to heed the warning signs and have now lost the best manager they have had for years by simply refusing into backing him, and are now talking about replacing with Steve Bruce! seriously? |

Post 2 got the 'want' pretty spot on so can't do better than that.
Bit early to see who is realistic as lots more players to come and go. Newcastle do not have great defenders but Benitez had them very well drilled not to concede. The other end they have lost the 2 players who scored 23 of their 41 goals. Their next 2 top scorers were CB's! They are in a world of trouble at the moment. Brighton were a defend first team as well last season. I think Potter is a good coach but he played passing football last season and i think their squad might struggle with that change. Swansea's results were very variable even with the players to do it so i think they will be in the battle all season. Sheff Utd have come up with a squad very short of PL quality and experience. So far their business has not suggested to me they will escape, similar to Cardiff they might give it a go but come up short. Think those 3 are currently my favourites. Norwich will be in and around the battle as well i think. |
