Well at least they can console themselves with the fact that their home vocal support is now louder and that thereís more of their fans than normal still in the ground with 10 minutes to go.

Looking at their fixtures it could be a tricky run in for them, especially the last few games so if they lose the 4 leaf clover they could well drop which would be the most deserved relegation in the history of the Premier League and no doubt that would be thoroughly welcomed by every football supporter in the land.

Spent a good 20 mins reading through their match thread from the point of the Benteke goal last night.

Absolutely glorious.

The funny thing is some of them still believe they're one striker off challenging for the Champions League.

They haven't even managed to finish above us in the PL yet the stupid c***s

I hope they get relegated on the last day for want of one point. If that happens Benteke should get an OBE for services to football.

I seriously hope they get relegated this season as less crap finishing would have them comfortably in upper mid table, and that crapness random variation will not last for ever. This iseasily the best team they have put out since they got promoted, and I seriously doubt we’ll be able to say they’ve never finished above us for that many more seasons.

Despite the loss last night I think Brighton fans can be applauded for last night. That's the loudest it's been at the Amex

Tbf they are the least disadvantaged team as regards their home game atmosphere during Covid. Arsenal run them close, but Brighton edge them.

Kind of reminds of where we've been in the past, where there's a good defence and midfield but you just can't score. Its a common problem at this level.

But f**k me did they waste a lot of chances and good positions. I remember noting at one point their keeper was up around the half way line, and thinking we might have well have played 10 defenders, for all the good our 'midfield' was doing us.

Funny enough though I think its more of an insult and hurt for them to lose like that to us, than to be soundly beaten 5-0. Its the knowing, at any minute now... Then thinking oh well at least its a point, and then BANG **** you have that, and suddenly you're going down.

It wasn't even a dangerous looking attack and we'd clearly brought on McCarthy (a defensive Midfielder) and Benteke (best noted for defending corners and his shots on keeper), and its good night, try not to drown in the tears on the way home.

I blame 6-0-6. Gave a voice to the lunatic fringe elements of all clubs.

I read the Wolves forum after we beat them. It was like a mirror image of here. Football boring, manager taken us as far as he can and owners not spending enough money. It's not just us that suffer from Charlton Syndrome.
