The play off game is impossible to beat.
The FFS Murray 1-3 was second as it was will for ever be their 1st loss at their shiny new ground. Poor Brighton … each time they think its their time to be superior we manage to burst their bubble . |

Playoffs top everything.
But the 5-0, Jobi at the Withdean, FFS Murray and last night's win were all special for different reasons. That's also before you consider a few big home wins against them and Ayew's winner last season in the intervening period. And of course three decades of consistently finishing above them. What have they got on us that even comes close? ![]() |

The play offs, by a mile.
The thing is, it was such a big game. They could beat us ten in a row in the league and it will never erase the pain of what we did to them that night. Beating them at their own ground, with their arrogant fans expecting victory, en route to our getting promoted at Wembley while they had to watch knowing it could have been them. Glorious. Just glorious. It will be etched into their hearts forever and no matter how they try to gloat when they do beat us, they know it never comes close to what we did to them |

Oh, hold on a sec. I see he’s now being referred to on North Korea chat as ‘a luxury lightweight show pony’

Last night was funny and I’ve not stopped smiling all day, but the play off game will hurt them forever!

Last night was the most stressful. This was a team heading only in one direction.
As soon as Benteke scored I had to turn on the radio in the hope that due to the time lag it was all over. Brighton were attacking so I switched it off immediately. The play-off was just perfect.

Last night's pain will be forgotten by them within a season or two unless it leads to relegation -which is unlikely but still possible. But the 2013PO defeat is a canker which will live within them for generations. The pain will literally affect their unborn.
Yes, we play shit football. But we will still always beat them. |

Last night was hilarious but the playoff win will never be beaten.
The 5-0 was great fun but it was such a non-contest it barely counts.

Is Lallana past it, or is Potter just clueless in how to use him?
Was consistently one of England’s best players under Roy, maybe we’d get a tune out of him.

Wasn't Steve Coppell their manager in that 5-0 game.
It always sort of put a bit of a damper on it.... nah! |
