I think they might've drilled it as a train but Carapaz being in the crash made them go conservatively - other teams should've tested him.

Tomorrow. No problems at all here then. I wonder who might succumb to the 'bad rest day' phenomenon?
Apparently there is a risk of bad weather. Let's hope there's no changes to the course, otherwise bring it on! ![]() |

Tomorrow should be a great day. I think Yates, Carapaz and Hindley will fight it out for the stage victory. Landa will have the "Day after rest day" syndrome. I also think Almeida and Lopez will have a bad day too.

Ha! You read my mind. TJ is a DS at
But, yeah if I was the RAI director I'd put a camera bike on Landa. Or a drone or some shit. Last edited by FORZA SELHURST; 24-05-2022 at 12:45 AM. |

That Teglio blip before the final climb is an uncategorised 5.1 kilometers at 8.7%!

How is that uncategorised!

Is someone going to crash on the final descent? Stay safe chaps!

Landa seemed to avoid any bad-bags but not his own team-mate. They're going to have to do something about Almeida.

You've got to admire Almeida and his never-say-die attitude, but he can't surely keep that up all week, can he?

I'm also waiting for Foss to prove he is actually in this race!

These are tough mountain stages throwing up a variety of challenges I think he'll crack as he can't Wiggo/Evans it all the way. But saying he'll crack - someone needs to do the cracking. I think there's continued wet weather coming so that should expose his descending frailties.

They certainly were taking that final descent very gingerly.
Astana, Ineos and Bora-Hansgrohe all showed they had strong teams today. There's really not much in it between Hindley and Carapaz for the moment. |

Last climb looks pretty hard and one should expect them to go full at it as the following stage is a soft-pedalling job for the sprinters.

Should be a straight-forward sprint but that little bump just over 50kms from the end is quite nasty and could be selective if it were to be really pushed. You've got to think they'd bring it back though (probably FDJ but they might shake off a Cav/ANOther in process).

Quite happy with my 5th, 6th, 9th, 11th, 13th and 15th places yesterday though at one point about 40km from the finish I had the three in the break: MVDP, Martin and Gall.
