It solves nothing. They are still numbered seats. Why do people think there will be free movement with rail seating?

There won't be free movement, nobody has suggested that.

If the club were to make the back 50% (or 60%) of the rows in the Lower Tier as rail seats, then clearly lots of people in the back half of F,G,H and J blocks aren't going to want to stand behind those rails.

But by making the front half of ALL the block enforced sitting, they can continue to be sitting, still in the lower tier, and maybe even in a more central block.

The rail seats in the back half across the whole lower tier would be ideal for all those who already stand in the front half of A,B,C and D to move to, and those who already stand in the back half of A-D are already in situ

The renewal rate is 92% I believe? If so, 8% of the 5000 seats is 400 seats - so still enough seats for everyone who is currently in the lower tier, plus room for the 400 new HF with a reshuffle depending on whether people choose sitting or standing

I would have assumed it more likely that the whole lower tier become safe standing.

That is the on the assumption that the demand of that much rail seating is there which no one knows yet.

If only the club would do some sort of proper survey/market research.

Sadly, though, you are right. It won't happen.

They've sunk a million quid into the plans and planning process thus far, I think there is still very much a will for it to happen.

The R word is critical though IMO

It will, eventually.
Too much bureaucracy getting these things through, but I have no doubt that SP will get this done, even if it takes a lot longer than we would all like.

I guess like anything, how quickly things happen depends to a large extent on how much money you throw at them. Consequently the planning application went through very quickly.

From the outside it seems to have all ground to a halt since though in respect of the directly affected houses adjacent to the ground.

On the supporters trust website they are reporting that the issues are with Sainsburys and an ownership issue in Wooderson close.

No, just a tactical ploy to quickly stake a claim whilst Spurs were sniffing around CPP.

The plans for Selhurst are a million times more developed than the CPP ones ever were.

Still haven't a scooby how on earth the club is going to do a deal with Sainsburys though without using CPO powers
