A very honest pro who should never be mentioned in the same breath as Drogba, Diouf and particularly Huckerby, who is the worst diver I've ever seen.
AJ sometimes goes down following minimal contact, but I've never seen him go down without any.

And when you're as quick as he is, it actually doesn't take much to send you over (as anyone who had played the game to any reasonable standard would know).

That said, AJ had plenty of stonewallers turned down while playing for us and a couple more at Everton, so it's no surprise that he goes down easily when refs refuse to give the obvious ones.

Johnson is not a great player. When did he last score against a top club(not counting penalties) eh eh?

He only started diving when he joined Everton!

I think the media use this just to have a go at someone that's worked hard and earned his right to play In the Premiership. I find It amazing people can have a go at one of the most honest professionals out there.

Why the hell are you agreeing with yourself on quite possibly one of the most ridiculous posts ever?!?!
The last time he really played a top quality team was Liverpool in the prem...a game which he scored in...from a header...and he didn't dive...and your an idiot.

A.J. IS NOT A CHEAT.
He is very, very quick. He is also probably the lightest weighing striker in the top two divisions,(10 and a half stone max.) He runs at defenders, contact is made and the ref. decides. He loses more decisions than he wins. |

I think you'll find AJ was alwayys clipped and due to his pace was bound to go down. That does not make him a cheat. There is a big difference between the likes of AJ an Drogba. AJ may play to win a penalty but I have never seen him fall without being touched. Big big difference.

This is in reply to the above question. Why are you bringing up Gabbiadini? Your response is borderline delirious, you foolish foolish person.

What a great player we sure do miss him. With his pace and size when someone misses a tackle on him in the penalty box it is quite often a penalty

This thread is ridiculous...i am on the 'AJ is not a diver side' but please, lets not bite to this drivel of 'when did he last score against a top side that was not a penalty'...
my argument is that he has scored 6 premiership goals this season, all of which were from open play, and he has only won 1 penalty TOP PLAYER

i would suggest you can 'play for a penalty' you can understand an opposing players technique and know that he may lunge in and if you are not the in greatest goalscoring opportunity you may choose to nudge the ball on or wide and take the tackle...
this is not cheating, its tactical people from both of the argument may disagree but this is what i believe happens...take the liverpool pen against brum midweek as an example
