The Racehorse, Carshalton
As my pub has become a bit of a meeting place for my BBS and Palace pals, perhaps they should know this.

I just had a call from Jone-zee, our man in The Racehorse, and he informs me that the pub is closing on Wednesday

The present guvnor has been outed (not gay-wise) and the chef, Andy, is to run it after the place has been cleaned, fumigated and generally brightened up, it will open again on Friday.

Val, the waitress ( ) has also been sent packing, and although I like her personally, I can only say that this is a step forward.

So, a new beginning. I can't wait

Apparently this has been known for a while regarding the situation. Its not a shock as the signs were there (the Baker that supplies the place driving off with his delivery due to non-payment for one)

The 'new crew' seem quite excited by the change.
Talking to Val she was quite optomistic and sort of admitted it was for the best as it was too much for her (She is 66) bit sad BUT needs to be done if the place is to survive. Best thing was Mia was asking what the customers would like to see/needs to change etc.
Lets hope it all works which Im pretty sure it will.
