Whoever wins has been left a real hospital pass. Argentinian economy is a mess.

Hopefully they won't see the possibility of black gold as the answer to their problems.

Except there is not even a thing as NI.

The original 'plan' was to have the province of Ulster remain with Britain, that seemed fair. Ulster was a entity that represented about a 1/4 of the island and was clearly defined.

But wait a minute. There is a problem. There are way too many Catholics in Ulster and they are going to want to join with the rest of Ireland. That means no more British enclave.

What to do?

Let's remove a third of the counties that make up Ulster and make a new thing, we can call this new entity NI. That means there will be a Protestant majority for ever.

Oh but Protestant birthrate hasn't kept pace with Catholics.

So, now that Kirchner has gone and Cambiemos has won in Argentina will it make any difference? Presumably the World's largest shale supplies become easier to access and along with Venezuela having political change the supply of oil is going to go in one direction. The Middle East will become an irrelevance to the US before long. This means that Europe will have to pay to defend itself and Russia and the Saudis can play a game of chicken over who can live at sub 40$ oil for the longest. Meanwhile tens of billions of Saudi assets will be sold in western Europe to pay the bills at home. There are going to be a lot of margin calls.

SAMA's been issuing redemptions all over the place, and has started selling European stocks as well.

Struggle to believe all the coin has gone on the deficit and Yemen. Some must have gone somewhere else.

From what I've been reading the Saudi's and UAE have been hiring Latin American mercenaries to fight in Yemen. That must be costing them but I'm sure you are right. The rich, everywhere from Russia, Hong kong, Nigeria and South Africa in the 70s to China now make sure they have an overseas safety net.

Yikes, that looks dangerous. Brazil looks in deep trouble on the economic front as well. Like the old saying that after a nucleur holocaust the only things left will be 2 cockroaches feeding of litchen, the last asset to fall in value will be the prime London house market.
