Got to be Dernbach. He gave one of the tail-enders a send-off in second innings and surprised that didn't lead to a further penalty.

Eating a delicious portion of humble pie following that stirring victory. My comments about the second day were based on the number of times it
happened last season, we seem to be a different team this year. |

Still vividly remember Monte Lynch's 3 England ODI appearances, too. 0, 2 & 6. So gutted for him at the time.

So how did Kent do in the final today? No Kent fans have been on here. Must be all out celebrating.

A Lords defeat to go with the Wembley defeat in May, this one much more one-sided. The two bowlers taking all the wickets in the Championship (who were 'rested' during the week) were ineffective and the start Hampshire got took the game away. 4 run-outs not helping.
Embarrassed by the booing of Northeast as well, football supporter mentality, I guess? |

I see Finch is playing T20 for Australia at the moment. Does that mean no Finch, no Roy, no Curran T and no Curran S for Surrey in this week's T20s?
Might get a bloody game myself..... |

If Surrey are to play seemingly specialist batsmen at number 7 and 8, surely it should have been players who can hit out rather than score 14 off the last 21 balls. [EDIT] Apologies if I'm being harsh on Smith on debut, but can't see why Borthwick gets a game if he's not going to bowl: he has a career strike rate of 95 in T20s. Kent have both overseas players, Carlos Brathwaite and Adam Milne, along with the Kolpak signing Heino Kuhn for tonight's slog at the Oval. I guess it is this and the form of the Kent batsman in the RLC that the bookies make us slight favourites.
Matt Henry has returned home to NZ for 'strength and conditioning' despite being flogged to death over the last 3 months! Then there's Stevo ![]() COYK |

Well done Kent, another disgraceful performance by Surrey considering their resources.
