If Zaha wasnt on the pitch we would have lost heavily today.

I prey we can keep him.

Spirited performance, plenty effort, more shots on than the Arse and a couple of sitters missed.
First half made them look very ordinary and as they piled on the pressure in the 2nd it just opened them up for the counter. In the end the score flattered them not us.

Going with Ward for MoM, out of favour, yes got rounded a couple of times but maybe PVA learned something watching, it not all about charging down the wing.

Good performances all over the pitch but I noticed how much MacArthur contributed pressing and closing down and regaining possession

Just got back. Genuinely struggling to nominate a MotM because there were so many fabulous performances. Guaita, Ward, Kelly etc etc - all superb - and of course Jimmy Mac, Tekkers and Wilf.

A good question.

The season has been poor at home. The team we have is built for counter attacking football hence why we have been so good on the road.

At home we have struggled when we have the ball and this needs to be addressed in the summer. The problem I believe is our midfield, we never replaced Cabaye or RLC and add in the fact that we never had Benteke or Batshuyai for most of the season and you can see why we have struggled at home.

All in all we have a team that is playing for the manager and on the most part they have stuck to the structure and have been disciplined. The players are without a doubt playing for him.

So whilst Roy isn’t going to go all gung ho on us next season we should be very happy with the job he is doing with the tools he has at his disposal. If the board can provide him with some decent options in the summer we will have another steady season.

For me I am more than happy with our manager and whilst I understand and see the frustration we should all be very happy with a 7th season in the top flight.

He was everywhere and my MOM. Another player who is made for away games when pressing is even more important. I’m not even a big fan, but he deserves it despite not squaring to Benteke when he should have done.

The Sunday Times marks for Arsenal's defence. I don't think I've seen a player marked only 2 out of 10 before!

Ratings
Arsenal (3-4-1-2): B Leno 4 — S Mustafi 2, L Koscielny 5, K Mavropanos 4 (sub: A Iwobi, 46 4) — C Jenkinson 4

Might not have won, but lost heavily? I do not think you do the rest of the team justice. Wilf is fantastic, but he is not a goalkeeper or defender or the organiser.

Thanks for the response.

Very good point about the midfield.

I think we will look back in 20 years time and think we had a pretty good team here and some great times

For once the team selection was spot on.Aside from the missing centre backs that is our best 11.The tactics were great and despite the fact I've been whinging about Hodgson for a while,we were the total opposite today of everything we've been for the last 2 weeks. We played on the front foot, looked great on the counter, created numerous chances from set pieces and just had a proper go at a team that obviously have a bit more quality than we have overall. The only blip was the 15 minutes after half time where we looked ragged. It was completely unexpected but an absolute joy to watch today.MOM for Zaha for an unbelievable performance. So many honourable mentions,Guaita,Kouyate,McArthur,Benteke,Ward,AWB as always.Amazing.

We scored three goals from set pieces today, what a difference having Scott Dann and Tekkers to attack the ball from them.
