Bromley FC
play their first home match tonight at Hayes Lane. If anyone isn't planning on going to Selhurst tonight come and watch Bromley. They started the campaign away at Chelmsford on Saturday (the league favourites) and got a 1-1 draw.
Quite a few BBS'ers have probably been to Hayes Lane watching Palace reserves, and seen the great bar facilities at Hayes Lane, and there is certainly an air of expectancy around the place this year, with several "big names joining the club", and there's that Goldberg link - but don't let that put you off! ![]() To view the link you have to Register or Login vs Staines tonight 7:45pm kick off - around 8 quid I believe, only around £22 cheaper than Palace ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yes as good start for the lads yesterday, and a fair turn out for a Tuesday night match. (411) For those that haven't been down there before, give it a go, you will be pleasantly surprised by the standard of football and facilities there, especially the new bar which is far too impressive for the Ryman Premier League.

Looks like Staines copied Palace's Cardiff Play-Off Final kit.

Good start... 451 there today, not bad considering up against Palace and Charlton both at home. |

Just looked at there BFCTV web site, and some interviews with a couple of the players.
It's a bit of a shock to hear some kid doing the interviews, and the sound only one with Adrian Stone is classic amature/comedy hour. BUT..... hats off to the guy, and the whole web site. I'm really enjoying being able to see the goals etc, and is definately all positive. Considering the backing behind Palace World, these guys are doing a good as, if not better job, with a didgital camera and good web site. Well done guys. Keep it up. |

Bromley 1 Ramsgate 0 – League - 26/08/06 An 82nd minute Junior Kadi goal saw Bromley finally overcome a very stubborn and solid Ramsgate side who lined up 5-4-1 and nearly got the point they came for in a frustrating but entertaining game at Sunny Hayes Lane on Saturday. Lined up in 3-5-2 Bromley went close early on when Nic McDonnell headed just over, but for the most part Ramsgate spent the first 15mins on top pushing Bromley back in their own half and asking all the questions. Andy Walker made one fine save from a free kick, but in general The Ravens held out well and then got hold of the game. As Bromley began to press The Rams the visitors got ten men behind the ball and soaked up the pressure. Barry Moore and McDonnell both narrowly missed the target before McDonnell did find the net from a Sam Wood cross only for it to be ruled offside. Moore set up Tony Boot who shot over and then had an effort on target well saved by Chris May from a Mark Corneille cross. Just before the break Francis Duku scooped the ball over the bar following a corner, but it finishedscoreless. The second half saw Bromley push Ramsgate back from the off, but last seasons Division One Champions looked solid and very difficult to break down. Boot hit the bar with a lob over May and then had a shot saved. The lively striker then set up Adrian Stone who fired wide. Rams broke out on occasion with Michael Yianni missing their best chance when shooting wide. As The Ravens continued to dominate Donal O’Sullivan, Peter Adeniyi, half time subs Stone and Junior Kadi all saw efforts go over the bar with desperation setting in. Kirk Watts came on for an injured Wood and provided a real threat down the left, one of his crosses found Kadi who saw his shot deflected onto the post. From the following corner Duku headed over and it looked like Ramsgate would get the draw they had set up for, but with 8mins left former Beckenham players Adeniyi & Kadi combined well on the edge of the box before Kadi coolly slotted the ball past May from 10yards to finally give Bromley the lead. Ramsgate had to come out of their shell and open the game up Walker made a brave save at the feet of a crowd of players in the six yard box after a corner. Shane Suter and Warren Schulz both blazed free kicks high and wide for The Rams, while at the other end May pulled off a triple save from Adeniyi, Kadi & Boot. Deep onto injury time Adeniyi set up Watts but the wicked wing wizard shot over.

I went to the Staines game last week and was very impressed with Bromley. I was right in the line of the winner and thought the keeper was gonna get it all the way until the net bulged. The giant Peter Adiniyi in midfield won everything in the air and looked very good on the ground too. I've always been impressed by Walker in goal, he's as good a shot stopper as you'll find at this level (though his distribution seems very suspect from the two games I've seen this season). They showed good movement and passed the ball rather than hoofing it endlessly. I hear they're still looking to strengthen in key areas so this could be a very successful season at Hayes Lane, long may it continue.
![]() Hopefully I can make it to the Slough and Ashford games in the coming weeks with a couple of mates in tow.

Yesterdays Bromley match report from To view the link you have to Register or Login
Worthing 1 Bromley 2 - August 28, 2006 League - 28/08/06 Bromley came back from the Sussex Seaside with three points continuing their unbeaten start to the season with a fine footballing display on a breezy Bank Holiday afternoon. The Ravens, lining up 3-5-2, got off to a lively start with Toby Boot having a header saved and Kirk Watts also being denied by home Keeper Rikki Banks. The beak through came on 14mins when Boot played in Nic McDonnell who controlled the ball brilliantly and volleyed home for 1-0. Bromley had a fine spell following the goal moving the ball around well and Boot had another shot saved by Banks after he latched on to a Barry Moore free kick. The ever impressive Sam Wood played in Watts who fired narrowly wide and Boot nearly forced Andrews into an own goal with a well placed ball across the six yard box. Worthing forced one save out of Andy Walker from a corner before Peter Adeniyi shot wide when latching on to a Wood ball. Half time came with The Ravens looking formidable. The second half saw Bromley start in a similar vein Adeniyi shot just wide before Wood crossed for McDonnell who made it 2-0 from close range on 50mins. The Ravens played at pre-season pace for a spell moving the ball around at will and Leaving The Rebels frustrated. Hall elbowed sub Nathan Simpson before the lively full back played in McDonnell whose header was saved by Banks. Mark Goldberg made all of his last two substitutions on the hour mark and it was while the team was settling down that Worthing got a life line when Danny Davis cashed in on some lapse defending and smashed the ball home into the roof of the net from 15yards. From cruising Bromley were now pinned back for a spell, but they held out thanks to the solid defending of the back three and then went on to crate some more chances in the final few minutes. Moore had a shout for a penalty turned down. All action right wing back Mark Corneille crossed for Alex Tiesse who had his shot saved and Gary Drewett headed over from a corner. As time ran out Boot & Adeniyi put on a display of class footwork and possession football to make sure all the points came back to the London Suburbs. Bromley: Walker, Corneille, Wood, Duku, Henriques, O’Sullivan, Adeniyi, Moore, Watts, McDonnell, Boot. Subs: Drewett, Simpson, Tiesse, Stone, Fieldwick.
