Congrats to England that was a great performance. Good to see the positivity that Eddie Jones has given the squad.
I was at Eden Park for the Wales game. A fun game to watch but NZ are just a step ahead at the moment even when playing below par

Wales did better than I expected and I thought held the All Blacks pretty well for 60 minutes but when the AB's went up a gear we couldn't live with them.
England did very well. It'd been good if the tours had been reversed as I think we would have stood a better chance against the Aussies and England would have probably stood a better chance than us of beating the All Blacks.

I guess they thought the clock would run down and they would still need the conversion to secure a draw which wouldn't be a formality if they went over in the corner. They backed themselves to go again. To be honest I thought it was going to pay off. Fantastic test match.

Ireland beating the Springboks in their own back yard with 14 men has to be one of the greatest achievements of recent time in Test Rugby. They were down to 13 at one point. Total warriors.

Yeah, well done to the men in white. Thought we (Aus) looked really good early spreading the play and opening up the Eng defence. Gave away some schoolboy penalties in our own half that hurt us. Best team won over the course of the match which is what counts in the end. Looking forward to the second Test now, should be a belter.

There are people in this part of the world who are unfairly disparaging of the home nations' rugby. This weekend will have dispelled a few of those misconceptions. England were very solid and bounced back from the early pressure. Ireland were mighty - plain and simple. To beat the Springboks with 14 is awesome. Wales were, as evvo suggests, well beaten in the end but that doesn't detract from the first sixty minutes. I think the difference isn't so much that the All Blacks took it up a gear and more that after a body-sapping hour, the New Zealand substitutes coming on were as good as the starters - what other country can say that?

I was looking for a thread like this when Sarries beat Racing Metro a couple of weeks ago.
As for yesterday I didn't see much, but listened to the first 30 minutes of the Welsh game and it was fairly apparent how it was going to end. You cannot go toe to toe with NZ and expect to win. You'll lose intensity and they won't. I saw the first twenty minutes of the England game, and aside from two outstanding interventions from Itoje and one of the back row basically on the try line, it looked very very ominous. The end result is tremendous but it sound's like it could have been a different result if Foley had kicked even half decently, or there was a Southern Hemisphere referee. I've since seen some limited highlights, so would be interested to know views of people who saw the whole thing.
