PVA

PVA part of a double swoop with AWB for £50m according to To view the link you have to Register or Login. Perhaps if they double we might consider it.

MANCHESTER UNITED are eyeing a £50million double swoop for Crystal Palace pair Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Patrick Van Aanholt.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to overhaul his defence this summer with a pair of full-backs are a particular demand.

Bissaka, 21, is high on all the club’s shopping list, but the Eagles are desperate to hold onto the highly-rated defender.

With Antonio Valencia gone, United are looking for a long-term successor to Ashley Young.

And despite Diogo Dalot’s arrival last year, the Old Trafford top brass are determined to spend big to bag Wan-Bissaka.

United’s interest in the England Under-21 star is well documented but their admiration for Van Aanholt could raise a few eyebrows.

Despite Luke Shaw being crowned Player of The Year, Solskjaer wants an experienced Premier League operator to provide genuine competition for the left-back position.

Van Aanholt, 28, has another two years to run on his current deal at Selhurst Park.

The Dutch international who moved to South London from Sunderland two years ago was one of the success stories at Selhurst Park last term, making 40 appearances and scoring four goals.

His energy and attacking instincts have caught the eye of Solskjaer and his coaching staff who feel he could be a viable alternative to the England international in defence.

Van Aanholt has been linked with a move to Serie A, with Juventus and Roma monitoring his situation.

But United reckon a deal could be done with the Eagles to take both defenders to Old Trafford.

I love PVA and he's great but this might be our chance to make serious money off him. Man Utd will be looking to do what Guardiola did a few years ago, i.e. invest in full backs (their fbs are dreadful) and PVA is definitely good enough to start for them. It'd be good business if we could get 20-25 m for him then get Joe Bryan and a midfielder for that amount

Really? Defensively he has been poor this season. I've always thought that he would be better on the left wing rather than left back. Makes me nervous when he is on the ball in defence.

Good opportunity to offload him and get a better left back in.

Also £50m for the pair is way below value. I value AWB at far more than that.

Anything above £10m for PVA alone should be taken without hesitation

£10m for an international full-back...are you from 2003?! Not the best defender obviously but very useful for us in joining the attack. Got to keep him and add some competition.

The problem with the wankers is that a) all their current players have been in the same sort of form as van Aanholt and b) they think Solshite is the man to fix it.

Luke Shaw won their player of the season I heard. Not saying much based on their season but you would think they have other areas to address than left back!

PVA can be a liability and one of the most droppable players in the first team. If Man U want to offer us 10M+ surely it's a no-brainer?

This. PVA has had a poor season but should fetch £15-20m. AWB will be worth more than the remainder if he performs as well next season as he did last season.

If we sell PVA were going to need to sign a first choice LB. We won't manage to get someone as good as PVA for 10 million.

For me the supposed interest of Man Utd in PVA is mere paper talk due to the turmoil within the squad and the managers frustrations with his squad, but if PVA was to move on then we should try for Cresswell as he is in and out at West Ham who might sell.
I would say the AWB link has legs and Man Utd will be favorites to get him and i see that happening for around £45m, and replace with Bogle if Derby dont go up.

AWB would be at least £50million by himself!

They need to be talking a good £70-75million if they seriously want them.

Probably whoever his agent throws out there is "interested".
