Sakho off to West Brom?
According to the Birmingham Mail, BFS is looking to take Mamadou Sakho to West Brom in January.

Anything would be a bonus based on injuries and wages.

If he is fit he’d be perfect for them.

I would take whatever we can get for him as long as we take a punt and replace him with a younger CB though I must admit I can't think of anyone in particular. That is Dougies job!

Should snatch their hands off if they offered a few million. We desperately need a decent centre back who hasn’t suffered from injuries.

Tomkins and Sakho , still remain potentially the best centre back pairing but fitness is the issue . But no more than Cahill who hasn’t got many years left .
Problem is Roy refused younger centre back

Get rid. Surely we can get £5m or so for him. And get rid of his ridiculous wages.
We are desperate for a couple of young CB.

WE should use him in a swap deal or part of a deal, there are Two of their players that have impressed me, one is their tall CB Ayeji(spelling?) and the other is that dynamic little midfielder Perera.

The cynic in me suspects Sakho will miraculously stay fit for at least 15 games and show them his best form. I never like the idea of strengthening a team we might end up battling against. |

Would rather see him go than Tomkins who looked good against Leicester (apart from the pen obvs).

Here we go again, swap deals. Can someone tell me the last time one of these things actually came off? Swap deals were common in the 70s/80s but a rarity now.

And that is the whole point of swap deals, clubs are happy to get rid of players they don't want. But anyone any good is off limits. The last one I recall us getting was AJ thrown into the Morrison deal, but the key there was Birmingham were in the Prem and felt they could afford to let him leave. WBA need all their best players but need to add more too.
