Barnsley match has Mowatt and Olise on show. So could be interesting. Valerian has that Peter Sellers French accent down to a T too.

Took the goal really well but not sure he has looked that great so far. Scruffy, scrappy style when receiving the ball but apparently has more take ons than any other champ player. Reminds me more of a raw Bolasie in that I am not sure it’s all deliberate. But only based on one half.

So far Olise hasn’t made an impact, Ejaria has scored, worked at it but hadn’t looked like a PL or particularly standout if it hadn’t been for the commentators or the goal which was very nice. Has looked better since the goal I would say.
Up until the goal Mowatt had been the best of the 3 for me not sure it’s been a cheque book performance so far.

Tough game for both sides and may just be a bit scrappy. If I had to pick one out to watch second half it would be JOao. Big guy and has a knack of keeping it when you are sure he will lose it but it’s been too tight for much time on the ball so far.

I think that's simply credit to Barnsley. They've been relentless, and he's generally had two on him.

Not long left. So far Mowatt and Ejaria have probably been the better players of the 3 mentioned above. Olise made one very nice through ball but very little other impression. Ejaria is surrounded and that has limited his game but that won’t change. On one 90 mins maybe one to watch again but no cheques yet, same for Mowatt. Both have their goals for the stats though.

Gibson, CB sub for Reading has looked OK for 20.

This has been two teams slogging it out for top 6 slots and was never going to be pretty but neither side look likely to thrive in the PL without some serious surgery. Barnsley run for fun,

Barnsley's Callum Styles looks like he could be a decent player, I noticed him the other time I watched them too. I think he might've bought the pen a bit.

He went down a couple of times, tripping over flies I think - he did show OK. It may just be the match which was ‘rushed’ but no one really stood out as being a class above the rest.

I would look out for Joao, Gibson, Mowatt, Ejaria maybe based on the 90 mins. Didn’t see him for long but Dike has a presence worth another look. Mowatt has a nice knack of getting involved in the danger areas and arguably had the biggest impact on the day by a whisker.

Only saw the last half hour but thought it was pretty appalling. The Prem drives me nuts with all this possession based tippy tappy but this seemed like Blackheath on a Sunday morning by comparison. Agree Styles looked classy - apart from the suicidal back pass which should have gifted Reading the points - but no-one else impressed from the half hour or so I saw. (It might have been just one of those days, of course.)

If it weren’t for Covid would Arsenal vs Liverpool even be on tv at the moment? Ultimate battle of the mid table also rans this season

I know it’s probably a long shot but would love to see us put in a decent run to the end of the season to finish above Arsenal. Would be a remarkable achievement in the context of the clubs history.
