Yes I know we tend to do most of our business at the end of the window, if at all, but it would be nice if for once we could get a couple over the line a.la Southampton gor a change. We are also likely to be losing more games in the interim.

Depends how far you slide. It's a nerve game. We've got 22 points, having played 17 games, which is a very good tally for us. We need to take maybe no more than 13 points from 21 games (Given that Everton also need to make up 7 points for us to go down).

In truth, had VAR existed when Jordan was owner, we'd have stayed up (that 3-3 with Norwich was a f**king disgrace of blind referees - that cost us a premier league place). Nothing really to do with spending money.

We have 3 - THREE - games before the window shuts, Chelsea, MU and Newcastle. An early signing is hardly going to impact those very much. After Newcastle we have two weeks before our next game, one of those with an open window, so plenty of time to get players in and integrated.
