In Lanzarote at the moment, taking a look at our place in Puerto del carmen before we rent it again and the place is full of Irish gentleman accompanied by a few ladies, we have a St Patrick's day parade on Friday and it's guaranteed to get messy anybody else on Paddy's Day celebrations

Digbeth in town is renowned for it's Irish bars and a huge parade, however due to HS2 it's mostly dug up now and I'm guessing celebrations will be somewhat muted..

I'll be 'celebrating' - I am nether Irish nor Catholic but I love the food, drink, music and fun of Paddy's Day. I'm atheist but still do Christmas and Easter etc. etc. - I'll join in with Chinese New Year celebrations, Eid, Diwali, you name it. A festival is a festival and we all live alongside each other here in London.

I’m going to NYC, using St Pats and finally seeing the parade as an excuse for going, but seeing that it’s currently even colder there than it is in South London makes me think I should have gone to somewhere in the Med instead though.

I'm heading up there from Nashville today. Will be marching in the parade tomorrow and will be in Legends bar (next to Empire ST) on Sunday morning for the Palace match. Pop in if you're around. Check the time difference because the clocks have already changed here. I think and hope it's 9am. If it's ten then I'll probably have to sneak out before the end to fly back.

I am 100% non plastic, but can't be arsed with celebrating Paddy's day.
Just always felt a bit uncomfortable with nationalistic jingoism, even though the day is supposedly "fun only".
