Schlupp was fine off the ball, when we press man for man he's actually pretty good at it and he's good at picking up loose balls.

He obviously gives the ball away but he does have goal threat and is good for defending set pieces.

I doubt Hughes is going to be fit enough to start anyway.

Not that it makes any difference in terms of who we play as they are all as bad as each other, but some are particularly bad and shouldn't start. That means no Schlupp, no Mateta, no Edupard and potentially no Doucoure as he's turned into a liability and needs to get his head straight.

There is no hope but I suppose we could fluke a goal at least.

Schlupp has scored one goal and has no assists this season (unless you count him being fouled for Olise's superb free kick against the w*nkers. If so, one assist). Not sure we can say Schlupp has any sort of goal threat these days.

I got roasted by loads of people on the match thread last night for daring to suggest that Schlupp shouldn't have started. Just don't see what (if anything) he brings to the team. Has a reasonable shot - and that's about it. Never really known what his position is.

I think he’s a decent squad player but he’s limited and shouldn’t be starting games. Goes missing a lot unfortunately.

Unless we can get Hughes back could see us getting beat 3 or4 nil lokonga will be a miss .hopefully doucoure don't pick up a early booking and have to be brought off not looking forward to this game saying that not looked forward to many last few months.
