As the award night has just been announced, maybe worth speculating this. It’s actually quite a hard one this year I’d say. Based on the last couple of months, Eze would win and Olise would be right up there. Based on the entire season, I’m not sure. Maybe Andersen or Guehi? Doucoure has to be in with a shout too.

I dunno. I think in the Vieira section of the season, which was the majority of it. Andersen was our best player tbh.

Doucoure for me although Guehi and Olise are a close 2nd and 3rd.

I haven't voted him MotM that many times but I think I'd go Doucoure. His workrate, effective workrate, kept our struggling midfield working in the first half of the season. I realise he was a bit reckless for a period after the WC, but feel he tired of doing the work of two people where the others had only themselves to cover for. Also, to some extent, both centre backs benefited from Doucoure.

Not taking anything away from Andersen, Guehi, or Olise, just the reasoning behind.

I thought Andersen for a while. But the recent own goals dented it a bit.

Guehi has been generally good.

Olise is a contender.

As is Doucoure and an outsider could be Ayew.

I think I might go Doucoure but it's not an obvious choice this season.

Yeah I think I may be edging towards Doucoure myself tbh. But Olise could get it, simply because he’s been sensational since Roy got here. And he wasn’t exactly bad before then, just wasn’t given an ideal role tactically.

Doucoure for me. Has been a beast in a specific position (DM) that was causing us problems. If only we were able to see him, McArthur & Gallagher. The dirty work he gets through is so important to the team and without him, we would be bang in trouble. PotS IMO, by quite some distance too.

Doucoure for me. Was doing the work of 2 players early in the season. Have consistently voted for him as POTM but he has never won it, I believe

Agreed. Apart from those final games under Vieira where he (understandably) lost his cool and was clearly suffering, he has been excellent. Perhaps a few goals might have really put the icing on the cake.

If Guehi won it, I'd have no problem with that.

Tough one given the lack of consistency.

Doucoure has been massive but had such a huge drop off for the middle third of the season. Eze was done a real dirty during Vieira's time and as a result hasn't performed enough of the season. Ayew is up there but again his performances can be hit and miss.

I'd possibly say Guehi has been the most consistent so between him and Cheikh for me...

Think I'd give it to Marc.

I'm going Guehi, purely due to PV's tactics for 3 months. If we hadn't parked the bus I suspect it may have been Olise.

Plus, if Guehi is our POTS then it increases his price.
