Places you have been to on holiday but hated and would never go back
As title says. I'll start
Benidorm, went there on a stag do last year, poor lad got stabbed in the throat by a barman in the same club I was in on the strip. Found out through a news article weeks later that he made it despite being put in intensive care, thank god he survived. Couldn't stop thinking about the poor boy. Hated the place. I would never go back. Now you guys... Give your reasons for why you hated it and never going back

The whole ordeal was so frightening, god only knows how the poor lad felt. I thought it was a terror attack at first due to all the commotion. Goes without saying Benidorm is a complete shithole

I went to Benidorm once as a late teenager when I was seeing a tall, feisty, northern woman 7 years older than me. For whatever reason, during our holiday after drinking in clubs, she thought I was looking at another girl (I wasn’t). We got back to our hotel that night and said to me about it which I denied and said she was imagining it out of insecurities and she punched me in the face flooring me in the process. That was my overriding memory of Benidorm and never been back.

Menorca. I'd heard it was the 'nice' island in comparison with Mallorca. But we found it hugely disappointing. Beaches were rockpiles with nothing really there. The 'restaurants' seemed to all be greasy spoon cafes, serving bangers and mash, fry-ups, etc. Just what you want in 30+ degree heat. There were a couple of pretty towns, but even there it was all extremely quiet with very few nice places to go and eat.
Maybe we got it all wrong somehow? Were we in the crap part of the island or something?

In my case, it was because the hotel staff were surly, the weather was shite, all the eateries were offering "fish 'n' chips" "English tea" and "live football" and the whole coastline seemed to be one big building site, with no actual building going on.
Apart from that it was quite nice.

Gran Canaria, too many cock roaches running around, especially in our room and an Irish fella jumped off the top floor and landed right outside our balcony, he was a bit of a mess poor bugger. He’d been given the elbow by his girlfriend apparently. 36 years ago and we’ve never been back since, horrible memories……..apart from the day before we flew out i went up to Brum and see palace win 6-0
