Covid Inquiry
Thought I'd keep this away from the main coronavirus thread as its more politics, less healthy and wellbeing.

To start us off...
Extraordinary. Truly extraordinary. The Cabinet Secretary on his then boss @BorisJohnson during the pandemic : "He cannot lead & we cannot support him...Government isn't actually that hard but this guy is really making it impossible." To view the link you have to Register or Login |

No communication to the Prime Minister in Feb 2020 for 10 days, which coincided with half term!

Watched some of this yesterday
Government seemed to have a lot of staff sending emails and memos but not doing anything constructive should have acted more quickly and didn’t seem to have any idea what to do when they were aware of covid No chain of command and very poor communication Shambles really Cummings will stick the boot in today |

Lee "Shifty" Cain asked to use plain English by the chair of the inquiry. A masterclass in obfuscation and bollocks.

What is the likely outcome for BJ in all of this… could he face any kind of criminal charges?

Regrettably, I believe the stuff that might lead to chokey, like fraud, is scheduled for the arse end of the inquiry.
If the evidence is given under oath ( I'm not sure if that is the case), there's a fair chance that Bozza might perjure himself. Baroness Mone was unavailable for comment.

Enquiry will last until at least the summer 2026. I think I'll just read the weekly summaries.

It would be a missed opportunity if Cain, who used to dress up as chicken, is not asked about Avian flu.
